  13. 2011-2012 Green Knight Report • Download at • http://www.snc.edu/studentorgs/handbook/report.html • Report due to the LSE Office by April 1, 2012 • Upload completed report to the LSE folder on the J:Drive • Access J:Drive at https://netstorage.snc.edu/Netstorage • Find Department labeled LSE • Click on the “drop box” folder • Select “Green Knight Reports” folder • Upload your report to the folder labeled “SPRING 2012 – Green Knight Report” • Save your report under your org’s full name • Optional workshop to take place on March 6 at 6:00 in the Presentation Room in Mulva Library

  17. Service Requirement Recreation, Special Interest, Media/ Programming, Cultural/Ethnic, faith/service, Governing • Complete at least 1 service project each semester fitting your mission. Examples: • RHA– Make A Difference Day • Colleges Against Cancer– Relay for Life • Health Center– Blood Drives

Guidelines for Greek and Independent Social Orgs • Must complete 2 service projects each semester each project must have 80% participation in order to count • If 80% cannot make a single event offer multiple times/days for a project (ex: having multiple shifts at a food pantry) • At least one project must benefit an off campus agency • Ex: Untouchables w/ PALS program sponsoring events, Greek groups partnering with their national philanthropy • Complete 2 educational programs per semester

Beloved Community Award • Award given to one student and one faculty or staff • http://www.snc.edu/studentawards/beloved.html Nominations due by February 13 • This award selected by nominations only so please be thorough in the open ended questions • Criteria: This award will be given annually to one student and one faculty or staff member who has actively worked to make the St. Norbert community a more just, equitable environment, for more of our members, fulfilling the vision of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "Beloved Community.“ • Have demonstrated through their speech and action what Dr. King called "the solidarity of the human family;“ • Have demonstrated a commitment to building a campus community where every member has an equitable opportunity to succeed • Have addressed the particular needs of underrepresented populations in our community • Have helped change our community into a more just community, for more of us

Educator of the Year • One faculty winner AND one staff winner • http://www.snc.edu/studentawards/educator.html due by February 13 • This award is selected by nomination only so please give a few sentences in the open ended questions • Criteria • Inspires and empowers students to learn, grow, and develop confidence • Leads by example and essentially lives the mission of SNC • Encourages and motivates students through consistent feedback that helps them realize their full potential • Is actively engaged in, and contributes to, the college community above and beyond the call of duty by realizing their own gifts and sharing them with others

Why bother? • It’s a great way to recognize students, faculty and staff who are doing amazing things on campus and in our community, plus… • The organization AND department who nominate the most students will receive a $100 donation to the charity of their choice • Those individuals who nominate TONIGHT will have their name placed in a raffle with the chance to win a Luna gift card
