  2. Terms • A PIXEL is a square of a uniform color, picture element. (megapixels) • SHUTTER SPEED is the amount of time the camera’s shutter is open. Or the amount of time the camera is recording the image. It is measured in fractions of seconds. (1/60 sec.) • The APERTURE adjusts from small to large opening that allows light pass through the lens to the film or image sensor. (f-stop) (f/22) • IMAGE SENSOR converts the image you see into a digital image.
