  3. Background: Gender in UNDP • Key findings of 2005 Evaluation: • Despite policies, UNDP lacked a systematic approach to GM • No clear goals nor dedicated resources • Lack of leadership and commitment at the highest levels • Lack of capacity at all levels

  4. GAP 2006 – 2007: • Established GSIC chaired by the Administrator. Members include: Directors of BDP, BCPR, two Regional Bureau’s, Exec Director of UNIFEM • Regional Bureau Compacts and Regional GSICs • Gender Mainstreaming Scorecard • Gender as a Driver in the MYFF to measure and monitor progress • Enhanced funding : • $5.5 from Netherlands for GAP implementation (GTTF) • Core resource allocation of $10 m including GMI • UNDP Strategic Plan 2008-2011 • Gender as an integrating dimension
