  1. Facing the Giants Julieta Rosas April 30, 2013 Mrs.Bishop-6th Period

  2. Perseverance • Continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, Failure, or opposition. • When I was doing my STAAR test I was trying hard to pass them and I did passed them. It was a difficult moment because I couldn’t remember most of the things I learned during the year.

  3. Kindness • The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate • I plan to help my community with everything I can help them with. I want to help homeless people with food, clothing and a place to sleep. I’m that kind of person that doesn’t like to see other people suffering.

  4. What is the value of giving your best? Are you wholehearted in your endeavors? • Giving your best is going to make your life a lot easier than what you think. Because if you go through the correct direction it will reflect it later in your life. Later you will be someone important in life because of your hard work you’ve done.. • Sometimes I don’t show interest in what I’m doing but inside of me I’m more than interested.

  5. What does it mean to “Prepare for the rain”? When have you felt like you were in a desert? • It means to wait for something important after all the nightmare you had. Something special is coming to you. • When I just came to the United States I had to take a test and I didn’t know any English and at that time I was feeling lost.

  6. In what areas of life are you willing to attempt the impossible? • When I’m alone with a problem and I see that never is going to end . But at the end I feel that I can go through every obstacle.

  7. Is it hard for you to persevere in the midst of feeling defeated? • Yes, it’s hard to persevere in the midst of feeling defeated. Because you feel disappointed about everything and you don’t feel like you did good enough.

  8. Do you tend to criticize others or are you an encourager? • I’m an encourager, I always tell my friends to do the right thing because I don’t like to see them doing bad stuff that affects them or hurts them.

  9. How do the choices you make today effect what happens in your future? • If you choose to not do your work you will not pass your test and the consequence is that you would have to repeat the grade you are in.
