Computer’s today • In 1998, the Gateway G6-450 was "top of the line", the fastest computer Gateway offered.  Compared it to the eMachines ET1161-07 in 2009.  Notice that the processor has become 4 times faster, the hard drive is over 20 times larger, and your mouse no longer needs a track ball that can get clogged up with dirt.  Not only does the new computer have all those improvements, but it costs $3,920 less!

  3. Connections • In order to have your computer running great you need to make sure your connection or connected properly. • Computer's have 8 main connection parts. 1. Power Adapter In 2. DVI Video Output3. Serial Port4. USB 2.0 Ports5. Parallel Printer Port6. Ethernet/Network Jack7. Line In Port8. Speaker Out Port

  4. Monitors • We need the monitors to see what we or doing on the computers…with out monitors there would be no computer. • Over the years monitors has changed an many ways .We went from big bog key looking monitors to nice flat screen monitors we even have touch screen monitors now. But the point is with out these monitors it would be close to impossible to use computer.

  5. InputDevices • Now with new computers these days or new input devices..like wireless mouse's, wireless keyboards ,scanners , you can even hook up your digital cameras , cell phones ,and much more… these devices let you use your computer in much easier ways in faster then normal… these are all just some of the devices that you plug into your computer….

  6. Output Devices • Output devices are devices that let’s you receive thing from the computer things like hear , print pictures , fax for those people who need to send something quick in fast…there’s many different output devices that help’s you out in more ways then one…

  7. Drives & Media • Now there are tow different groups of drives and media. There are External and internal . Internal are the drives that works from the inside. While the external are the drives that you plug in.. Now the media you have the DVD an the CD media. DVD media lets you watch movies and TV shows.. While the CD media lets you listen to all of your favorite tunes or download songs to your computer..

  8. Th3 Conclusion • Computers have changed a lot from the time they were invented to present day. Just think about were would the world be if the great mind that’s invented computers in showed us step by step to set up in use a computer hadn’t done that…thanks to computers today we can communicate fast in keep in touch with love ones. Don’t think were done computers are just beginning to shine there’s more to come in more will come. This was just a few things everyone should know about computer.
