  1. Warmup: • Take out your notecards if you have them. Set them on table in front of you. • You will need a number 2 pencil. • Collect an answer sheet from yellow box near Jamsa desk and put your name on it.

  2. Learning Target: • I will correctly graph and analyze the Starbucks Experiment with my team in my notebook.

  3. I will know if I hit the mark if…. • In my notebook, I have written ALL of the sections for an engineering project, underlined them, and using my brain made an honest effort to record what happened during the experiment.

  4. Announcements • 1) Video homework project is due Wednesday • 2) Web page updated – further inquiry, extra credit for personal managements, homework tab • 3) Keep looking for a project! • 4) Service Detentions for Monday! Don’t forget!

  7. Problems and Solutions • There were LOTS of problems with this being “Fair.” Make sure that you come up with at LEAST six and how you could resolve those problems the next time!

Possible Answers: • Did not start with same volume of water/ PRECISE MEASURING • Temperature of water not at same to start/ THOROUGHLY HEAT WATER • Had to take lid off to check temperature/ PUT HOLE IN TOP • Beaker’s at beginning were not dry/ DRY BEFORE YOU START • Heat from fingers changed thermometer temp/ WEAR GLOVES OR TAPE UP • Holes in cup, lining, etc./ TAKE MORE TIME FOR CONSTRUCTION
