  2. Purpose Promotion of scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship here at Moundville Elementary School

  3. Induction A student must have an 85 average for the semester average in each subject listed on the report card during the school year. The student must also have a good attendance record, behavior record, and maintain AR points needed.

  4. Membership • Must maintain an 85 or better in each subject • Must maintain at least 85% of the AR requirement each 3 week goal mark • 6th grade: 34 points • 5th grade: 31 points • Participation in a group sponsored by MES Honor Club. Students can sign up for one group: • Letters to a Soldier: Do once a month • Nursing Home Visitors: Go once a month after school • Big Bro/Big Sis: Do at least once a week during school • Homework Assistance: Do once a month • Membership cost $25 per year.

  5. Probation If an 85average or better isn’t attained (9 week score must be a B), AR goal isn’t attained, or attendance becomes an issue, then the member is put on active probation for the next 9 weeks. During this time, the member will be allowed to participate in any activities that the club is doing; however, they will check in with Mrs. Roberts weekly to report on their improvement and check-in with Mr. Garner every 3 weeks to tell improvement. If the issue isn’t cleared up by next 9 weeks, then the member is put on inactive probation. They will not be allowed to participate in any club functions. They will still meet with Mrs. Roberts weekly for updates. If an 85 average or better isn’t attained (9 week score is a C), the member gets put on inactive probation. If behavior becomes an issue, Mr. Garner determines whether membership is kept in the Honor Club or not.
