  3. The Self-Sufficiency of God God has no need / dependency on anything other than Himself He is complete & exists in perfection John 5:26 Psalm 136:25; Colossians 1:17; Acts 17:28 What relationship could add anything to that which exists within the Godhead?

The problem of why God created the universe still troubles thinking men; but if we cannot know why, we can at least know that He did not bring the worlds into being to meet some unfulfilled need in Himself, as a man might build a house to shelter him against the winter cold or plant a field of corn to provide him with necessary food. The word necessary is wholly foreign to God A. W. Tozer

  5. The Self-Sufficiency of God Man is reduced to insignificance for God acts based upon Himself – not trying to gain something from man. God does not need our help God does not need your money God does not need you

  6. The Dependency of Man Acts 17:28 – man lives, moves and has his being in God Man wants independence – do his own will Proverbs 14: 12 Man should rejoice in his dependency on God – because 1) it is true & 2) it is better Romans 8:31,32; Matthew 6; Philippians 4

  7. The Privilege of Giving to God “the blessed news is that the God who needs no one has in sovereign condescension stooped to work by and in and through His obedient children A.W. Tozer God has chosen to proclaim the gospel through men – (Rom. 10:14 cf. 1 Cor. 1:21) God has given you gifts by which you are to serve Him – (1 Cor. 12)

  10. Conclusions God does not need your money – or you. He will accomplish His will regardless of what you do You can either be part of His work through serving and giving - or you can forfeit the blessings that could have been yours
