Restoring the WebCCTV NVR • Saving the configuration Use the “Save Settings” CD • Open the web application • Go to the ‘System’ menu • Click the ‘System Info’ menu item • Click the button ‘Save Configuration’WebCCTV NVR will restart • ‘Save As’ window appears, choose location to save and click ‘Save’ • Write this XML file to the writable CD (provided with every WebCCTV NVR) • Put the CD back inside the unit.

Restoring the WebCCTV NVR • Restoring the pre-installed software When to use • Crashed harddisk and replaced by new • WebCCTV doesn’t start anymore • Nobody remembers the Administrator password • You received fresh/new WebCCTV system software How to use (3 steps) • Copying raw content from re-installation CD to WebCCTV NVR + answering a few questions • Automatic preparation of raw content • Manual activation (if not yet done in step 1) and restore the previously saved configuration to become a fully functional Video Server

Restoring the WebCCTV NVR • Restoring the pre-installed software Step 1 • Locate the CD bag : the inside cover of the WebCCTV NVR • Take the ‘re-installation’ CD out and insert it in the CD Drive of the WebCCTV NVR • Turn power off and on, wait until the WebCCTV NVR boots from the ‘re-installation’ CD • Answer all questions asked • A progress bar will show up, wait until the whole CD has been copied • The end of the copy process is marked by a continuous beep • Turn the power off and on again • Take the CD out of the CD Drive • Let the WebCCTV NVR boot from the harddisk.

Restoring the WebCCTV NVR • Restoring the pre-installed software Step 2 • The WebCCTV NVR will now pass through 4 automatic preparation stages • Mouse and Keyboard are disabled to avoid interference. Do not use them until the final logon screen appears • This is a fully automatic procedure. Don’t react to any windows or message boxes popping up, even though you will be prompted to do so!

Restoring the WebCCTV NVR • Restoring the pre-installed software Step 3 • You should see the Windows logon screen • Logon using the default username and password :Username : AdministratorPassword : webcctvnvr • If you didn’t activate your WebCCTV NVR during step 1, activate it now by double-click the icon ‘webclient’ on the desktop • An authorization request will be shown. Submit this to Quadrox or your supplier and a correct activation code will be generated. • Once activated, go to the ‘System’ pages, choose ‘System info’ • To restore the previously saved settings, insert the ‘Save Settings’ CD into the CD Drive of the WebCCTV NVR. • Click the button ‘Restore Configuration’. ‘Open’ window appears • Select the saved configuration file and click ‘Open’
