  2. Ⅰ.Title : Noah and the ark Ⅱ.Theme : bible story • In this unit, by learning about bible story - Noah and the ark, students can comprehend about Noah and the ark.

  3. Ⅲ.Language foci • vocabulary : altar, flood, obedient, ark, build, raven etc . 2)the past tense : saw, were, told, obeyed, sent, came, washed, brought ,built

  4. Ⅳ. objective - Students will be able to : 1) comprehend the story -- Noah and the ark when, why, what, where, who, how 2) know new vocabulary -- altar, flood, build, raven etc.. 3) use the simple past tense ex) saw , were, told ,obeyed, sent, 4) answer the following questions ex) Who built the ark ? How many sons did Noah have?

  5. Ⅴ. Prerequisites - Students already know : 1) understand the simple present tense 2) the story of Noah and the ark as a Korean language

  6. Ⅵ. Activity ♥ Activity 1. Listening and comprehension as a English language <warm up> A teacher shows the cover of book. and asks students to read the title of book, and asks about Noah and the ark. Step 1. A teacher reads the book. Step 2. Explain the story.

  7. <assessment> - Coloring and making a book in order

  8. ♥ Activity 2 Learning new vocabulary <warm up> A teacher shows flash cards, and asks what it is.

  9. Step 1. A teacher reads flash cards. Step 2. Explain the meaning of the words. Step 3. Read again and students repeat them. Step 4. Give students word search handouts. Step 5. Students solve.

  10. Step 6. When they finish, they raise a hand. Step 7. A teacher gives award. <assessment> - They can solve anagram.

  11. ♥ Activity 3. Learning about the simple past tense <warm up> A teacher begins by asking students about various activities they did earlier or the day before. Step 1. A teacher shows different two types of a flash cards.

  12. Step 2. Read the cards and explain that the present tense is used when the action is done today or at the present moment. Step 3. A teacher explains that the past tense means adding 'ed' behind the verb. (ex) kicked, kissed, hugged etc..

Students answer the following questions. - Who built the ark ? - Why did he build it? - How long did it rain? - How many sons did Noah have? - How long were they live in the ark ? - Where did the ark come to rest? - What was the ark made of?

  15. Ⅶ. Follow up - Students can talk about story of Noah and the ark to friends. - Students can keep a diary about last weekend.
