  2. Ground Water • Definition of Ground Water • collects or flows beneath the Earth's surface, filling the porous spaces in soil, sediment, and rocks. • Groundwater originates from rain and from melting snow and ice and is the source of water for aquifers, springs, and wells.

  3. Ground Water Rules • The EPA established the ground water on November 8, 2006, to increase the protection of against microbial pathogens in public water systems. • This rule applies to system that add surface water and ground water together • Also to make sure if its directly added it has the right treatment

  4. Ground Water • Ground water is influenced on what is flows through • atmospheric pressure flows from areas of higher altitude to lower • and from areas of higher pressure to lower • We get our from ground water which is pumped from under ground

  5. Ground Water: Aquifers • Aquifers are a huge storehouse of water which is a type of ground water
