  1. Functional Overview: Events Three master sourcing event templates will be created in which the default rules will be predefined. These templates are Request for Information, Solicitations (ITB,ITN,RFP), and Reverse Auction.

Functional Overview: Events • Key Functionality:Sourcing Event (Quick Project) templates consists of rules, a place for the project owner to specify suppliers, content such as questions, and a summary. The event templates form the structure of solicitations that involve the communication of DMS business needs to potential vendors and the vendors’ response in being able to fulfill those business needs. • Sourcing 3.0 can receive 100 responses in a single event; however, the system will partition an event (i.e., duplicate the event) as needed to support >100 responses. Additional events will be transparent to vendors, no action will be required by procurement officers when the system creates duplicate events. • Key Features: • Facilitates use of State Purchasing approved templates for event administration • Enhanced event notification functionality through upgraded functions in Sourcing 3.0 • System permits vendors to upload responses/bids to the tool for evaluation and award electronically • Supports sealed bid process anddeadline integrity • How will this impact State Purchasing? • State Purchasing is currently familiar with event functionality included in Sourcing 2.0 • Where applicable, the default rules of the current Sourcing 2.0 event templates will be transferred to the new event templates
