  1. Skeleton CreekBY PATRICK CARMAN This book is jam packed with action, mysteries and secrets

  2. Summary In Skeleton Creek there is an old mystery that someone or something does not want anyone to find out. While investigating the name of the town Ryan and Sarah learn of an old ghost story about a man that died in the town dredge (a dredge is a machine or barge for removing earth to look for something such as gold or sliver). When they go there something strange happens. This is where the story begins, Ryan in the hospital. They are willing to get to the heart of the mystery no matter what it takes, in this action packed book full of secrets and suspense. What makes the book unique, is through out the book there are passwords for videos online that make the book more interesting and scary.

  3. Skeleton Creek can best be described as a ghost story that’s a book and a movie at the same time.  Read 20-30 pages, then watch a 5-7 minute segment online at a secret website Passwords are provided as the reader progresses through the story.  For the reluctant reader, the payoff for twenty minutes of reading is watching a part of the story unfold before their eyes. By Steve R. Mc Evoy Ryan and Sarah are determined to get to the bottom of the weird happenings in their town of Skeleton Creek (including where that name came from). But after a mysterious accident injures Ryan and leaves him housebound, their parents forbid them from seeing each other and they are forced to communicate (and mystery solve) in private. The story is told wth Ryan's journal entries and Sarah's videos. By Scholastic Press Reviews Patrick Canman’s ghost story, Skeleton Creek, is a hybrid of print and electronic media. The Skeleton Creek experience includes handwritten journal entries, shaky digital camera footage. by Paulette Suhr

  4. My Review When I first started reading the book, I thought it would be boring. Once I got into it I found it was very good, except for it leaves you at a cliff hanger. This was one of the few books I could not put down. The videos really make the book unlike any other I have ever read. The notebook style of the book really makes it feel like I am reading a real journal. One video review said the “The journal is Ryan's the videos are Sarah's. Together they find the past is dangerous, the present is haunted and the future is deadly.” The book is well written and reads smoothly.
