Western Province Horse SocietyBecome a TV Star!!!! • The WP Eventing Championships will be televised and broadcast on Supersport with a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 21 flightings (usually 12) in SA and many more in Africa • The winner and placers of the CIC 1* will be the centre of focus; any and all riders could get TV coverage • There will be a prize for the best stand in the tented village and they will also get TV coverage • All sponsors will be recognised WP Eventing Championships - DRAFT

Western Province Horse Society2010 Eventing Championships • Rider and spectator feedback means the following improvements in 2010: • No entry fee for spectators on cross country day • A beer and wine tent overlooking the showjumping arena • A Tented Village with a wide variety of catering options and stands providing everything needed for the horse and rider • A sponsors and riders tent (no under 18s allowed) • Careful preparation of the going has been underway during the winter. The tracks and arenas have been mown several times, the ground will be rotavated and all ground, especially drops will be managed to provide the best possible galloping and jumping surface. • Stabling will be provided and a great party on Saturday night – so book your b+b, plan your weekend and come and party! 9. Western Province Horse SocietyAndile Balula – course builder • Andy Balula is an FEI Trained Course Designer and Builder. He has been working on the David Evans designed course at Nelson Wine Estate since its inception three years ago. Andy has built courses in Gauteng, KZN and Eastern Cape as well as in his home province, the Western Cape. • Andy is a great ambassador for our sport. We have sponsored two overseas trips for him to work with David Evans at the prestigious Blenheim Horse Trials in the UK, where his hard work and great attitude make him a valued team member. • Our aim is to support Andy in his ambition to become a world class course designer and builder WP Eventing Championships - DRAFT
