  5. Mission Statement • At Pillars Academy, it is our objective to provide healthy and rewarding learning environment for Muslims students. • To promote broad awareness of Islam for Muslim students studying in Pre-K to 12th grade, • by emphasizing upon Islamic teachings, fundamentals, ideologies and legacy. • To this end, to use a comprehensive syllabus, carefully selected textbooks, and knowledgeable instructors to intellectually stimulate the students to grow up as responsible, committed Muslim citizens living in the West, and help them make Islam as a way of life

  6. Pillars’ Staff • Volunteers • Keep in mind these are selected teachers I have provided for this term. • Acknowledge that they have a responsibility to their students and to the principle • They have an extensive teachers pack they must abide and follow • Respecting that they are willing to teach our children, take time from their schedule and help and guide them on the path of Islam.

  7. Classes • Since the main medium of instruction is English, the ability of students to understand and communicate in English is important. • All classes are co-educational • Exceptions are 11-13 and above • The school will follow a systematic, comprehensive curriculum, developed by Weekend Learning Publishers another with other publishers

  8. Attendence • Parents are advised to drop off their children at least 5 minutes before school starts • All parents should avoid tardiness at the time of arrival and leaving the school. All tardiness at the time of arrival should be reported to the front desk before the child can go to the class

  9. The School is not a Daycare Parents are expected to understand that the school is not a daycare center. Children should not be sent or enrolled in the school with the intention to provide them daycare services while parents are out. To that end, children are expected to study for classes, do home works, be attentive in class and participate in school activities. Parents are expected to drop them off and pick them up on a timely manner.

  10. Tuition • By enrolling your child/children in the school, you are entering into a contract with the school. • If in the middle of the school year, a parent decides to withdraw their child/children, they are liable to pay the tuition of the remainder of the school year. • We ask that if you have not paid tuition of your child, please do not send the student to school until the tuition is made current. • 100.00 per student above 6 years of age, 25.00 for pre-k/kindergarten
