  2. Summary The Glass Slipper is a book that is exiting and enchanting. It is about a girl name Ella who is a servant for her stepmother and stepsister’s (Araminta and Arethusa). They make her do all the work around the house like cooking, cleaning, caring for their cat, laundry, and many other things. One day the Grand Duke from the kingdom comes and gives out invitations to the ball. He says that the king has sent orders to invite every eligible lady to attend the ball. The sisters are not happy to come to find out that Ella could have a chance of going. The mother tells the Grand Duke Farwell and gives Ella a list of things to do. If she does not finish this list by the time to go the ball and have something proper to wear she may not go! Ella continues to finish her list but then the mother gives her even more things to do. By the time it is time to go to the ball she is not done with her list of things to do and her dress is not finished so Ella does not go. Instead she says her goodbyes and then runs up to her room to go and cry on her own. After a little bit, sparkles start to shimmer in the sky and the fairy god mother comes. With just the words of Bibity Bobbity Boo Ella’s dress is finished and her carriage, coach and horses are off but they must be back by Mid-night. At the ball the Prince sees Ella and they dance and dance until they can no longer dance because the clock struck Mid-night so Ella runs down the stairs without even caring that her shoe fell off and rides in the carriage all the way home just before her carriage turned back into a pumpkin and the horses turned back into mice.

  3. Summary (cont.) Ella's dream night ended and then she was back to chores. The mother saw Ella dancing with the prince so she knew that Ella was the one the Prince would want to marry so the mother locked her in her room just in time for the grand duke to come back to there house. He said that the Prince has made orders that every eligible lady must try on this glass slipper that they have found so they can find the Prince’s Love. Meanwhile downstairs Araminta and Arethusa did everything they possibly could to get this slipper to go on but it just wouldn’t. Just as the Grand Duke was about to leave Ella came dashing down the steps, and the Mother wondered how but with the help of Ella’s Mice friends they stole the key and got Ella out. The slipper fit and Ella and the Prince got married leaving Araminta and Arethusa doing there own chores at home. 
