  1. Unit 2: Human Geography

  2. Unit 2: Human Geography Unit Description: Human geography is the study of how the world's people live, where they live, and how their activities vary from place to place. In the past few decades, modern technology and transportation have brought different people into closer contact than ever before, and the world today is experiencing unprecedented population growth. At the same time, throughout the world, cultures are mixing and mingling to form a new "world culture." Although they may live oceans apart, people are exposed to common music, food, clothing, and ideas.

  3. Lesson 1: Population Distribution Lesson Question: Where do people live and why do they live there? Lesson Objective: The students will understand the general distribution of the world’s population and the geographic factors that have helped determine this distribution.

  4. Population Distribution Distribution: to disperse through a space or over an area; spread; scatter.
