REPASO • El Verbo – The action word in a sentence • El Infinitivo – The infinitive (to + a verb) • To walk = caminar • To run = correr • To hear = oir • An infinitive in Spanish is a verb with “-AR”, “-ER”, or “-IR” attached to the end. • ***An infinitive is a verb with NO SUBJECT. No one is participating in the action.

What is Conjugating? • Conjuger = to change a verb’s ending to match its subject pronoun; to show who is doing the action. • You have to conjugate the infinitive verb in order to make sense when you speak. • If you say, “Yohablaringlés”, you are literally saying, “I to speak English”. • Ex: Yotengo vs. Yotener • Ex: Yo soy vs. Yoser • Other examples?
