  5. State budget Projected revenues for FY09 down $1.5 billion. Must decrease spending to match revenue. Lean grant close-out Contract expired with CMTI. Pollution Prevention Opportunity Assessments (P2OA) are still available.

  6. Reducing Toxics in Indiana Grant OPPTA has received a $160,000 EPA grant to focus on reducing toxics in Indiana. We will be looking at specific toxics on the Resource Conservation Challenge Priority chemical list and working with facilities through Pollution Prevention Opportunity Assessments to identify projects. Facilities with projects that focus on reducing these toxics will then be able to apply for Pollution Prevention grants in August 2010.

  7. Clean Vessel Act Grant Funding Any private or public marina within the State is eligible for this grant, including city and government owned marinas. The grant covers pumpouts, dump stations, pumpout boats, maintenance and floating restrooms. Accepting applications year round, go to IDEM’s Web Site under funding http://www.in.gov/idem/4103.htm#cva $263,000 is available currently.

Clean Air Indiana Campaign June 15 – 30, 2009 Challenge to reduce ground-level ozone Online business toolkit at www.in.gov/idem/6263.htm Paycheck stuffers and posters available 2009 Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence Received 59 nominations, an increase from last year Awards will be announced September 16, 2009, at the Partners for P2 Conference & Trade Show

  9. CMTI Update CMTI is closing June 30, 2009 GLRPPR Conference Indiana hosted the joint Region 5 and 7 conference Focused on training, sustainability, and tools TRI Reminder TRI reports are due July 1, 2009 Assistance is available by calling (800) 988-7901
