  2. Objective • Define and Explain Professional Ethics and Codes of Conduct for Computer Professionals. Ethical Hacking. Privacy and confidentiality issues: freedom from intrusion, freedom from surveillance, control of information about oneself.

  3. What is Ethical Hacking? • Ethical Hacking is a process done by an ethical hacker in which he or she is hired by a company to attempt to breach their security • They are paid professional hackers that use there skills for the good unlike malicious hackers

  4. What is Malicious Hacking? • Malicious hacking is done by non-professional hackers who only breach security for their own pleasure • These hackers break into companies systems to steal money, people’s personal information, and other valuable things that should be held in tight security

  5. Privacy • Every citizen of the United States has the right to be free from intrusion and surveillance, people who break these laws for their advantage can get into some serious legal trouble • The code of conduct says that everyone should be free on their own computers unless the individuals computer contains suspicious items

  6. Freedom from Intrusion • According to the Code of Conduct for Computer Professionals, everybody who ever lives or uses a computer has the right to never have their information breached by a third party • Malicious Hackers break the Code of Conduct and break handfuls of laws

  7. Freedom from Surveillance • The code of conduct says that people should be free from being watched on their computer • People watching the activities of other computer user’s is considered morally wrong and can be punished with extreme fines depending on the privacy breach

  8. FacebookPwn • An illegal tool called “FacebookPwn” • Recently, a malicious hacker has created an internet plug-in that allows people or intelligible hackers to steal peoples personal information on Facebook • The process creates a fake account and makes it appear they are a real person, but really it’s just computer A.I. that steals your information
