  2. Kibo Space Station • The Kibo space station, Kibo meaning “Hope” in Japanese is a space station set to launch. • It is so large it requires three shuttle launches to get all the pieces out to space. • It will be the largest space station.

  3. About three billion dollars has been spent to build Kibo. • Experiments in Kibo focus on space medicine, biology, Earth observations, material production, biotechnology and communications research.

  4. Toxic Pollutants Found in the Eggs of Maine Birds •Toxic chemicals were found in the eggs of Maine birds. •23 different types of birds were recorded to have over 100 different types of pollutants in their eggs. •Some of these included mercury, carpet-stain removers and pesticides.

  5. The amount of pollutants found in the eggs of the birds was found to be more than enough to cause harm to the birds. • There was no evidence proving that the pollutants actually affected the birds however.
