Friends • Connecting with your friends. • Take time to look at each notification. • Do you know who it is from? • After accepting a friend, check their profile and be sure that it is who you thought it was. • Remember that your friends will be able to see your profile, pictures, information and more.

Groups • Join groups that you feel represent you. • Favorite sports, food, hobbies • Take time to look at the group after joining to see if it is what want. • If not, then leave the group. • Do not join groups that do not represent you. • This is part of who you are online. • Do not join every group that your friends join, always look at them first.

  5. Digital Footprint • Your online profile is not all private. • Google yourself to see what anyone can see. • Groups you join in Facebook are public. • Does your address or phone number show? • Pictures should not be public.

  6. Responsible Use • As a Digital Citizen and a member of the Facebook community you are responsible to report abuse, or mis-use of Facebook. • Facebook is a wonderful tool to connect and socialize with your friends. Be sure you are using it at the appropriate times. (Not in class)
