  2. I. Listening • Part A. You will see a map. Vocabulary you need to know: 1. places (ex: el correo = post office) 2. prepositions (ex: cerca de = near) • Part B. Using the map you listen to statements and find the place that Jorge is talking about.

  3. II. Reading • Part C. You will read a paragraph about different activities Julio does. Vocabulary you need to know: 1. days of the week 2. activities (ex: to listen, to prepare dinner) • Part D. Matching section. Common activities and interests between two pen pals.

  4. III. Conjugating “estar” (to be) Part E & F • yo estoy • Tú estás • él / ella /usted está • nosotros estamos • Ellos / ellas / ustedes están

  5. IV. Writing • Part G. You will need to know how to conjugate these verbs: ir cantar dibujar caminar tomar mirar estar trabajar lavar bailar

  6. IV. Writing • Part H. You will need to write three sentences about what you do during the week. Example: On Tuesdays you go to the library. . Los martes, voy a la biblioteca
