The Republic Indian Noteswent through a dramatic transformation after India gained independence. • The government of India introduced its paper currency and replaced the British Indian currency with an Indian one, featuring Lion Capital of Ashoka. • Denominations of Rs 5000 and 10,000 were introduced in 1938, but they slowly were taken out in the year 1946. However, they were reintroduced in 1954 but finally were demonetized in 1978.

Especially for the Haj Pilgrims, a special issue of 10 rupee notes and 100 rupee notes were introduced. • Old Notes of Republic India saw a new face in 1969; the Mahatma Gandhi Birth Centenary Commemorative Issue was released. • Notes of republic India went through some major transformations that included enhanced security features so there would be no chances of counterfeiting.

In this age-of-technology, counterfeiters are well-equipped to perform bad deeds; therefore, the government of India introduced amazing security features in the new 500 and 2000 notes. • Old Currency Bank Noteslacked the touch of technology but the government has made a lot of effort to make sure the Indian currency doesn’t find its name in the weaker currencies of the world.

In the near future technology will make it really difficult for money forgery to take place in India. • Old Republic Indian Noteswere easily forged and could be slipped in with the original currency. But RBI has developed new security features with which counterfeiting can be called a thing of the past.

  6. Within the next 20 years, there will definitely be a rise of digital currency users in India. • Many experts have predicted that India will be a economic super-power by the year 2050.
