ALC By the Numbers 2009-2010 • 30 classes held per session • 780 adults served • Adults from 65 countries • 392 GED testers • Met or exceeded all 11 educational goals for Virginia Adult Education programs • Secured $320,000 in grant funding and $165,000 in contracts • Increased overall enrollment by 14% The Adult Learning Center opens doors. They have a complete learning system. I study here to keep my job and have a better life.

  4. GED = Opportunity • My dream is to get my GED and get my job back. For a long time I gave up on education. This program has not only changed how I felt but it has changed the way I see myself. I didn’t know the value of education until I gave up on it. Millions of people give up on education because of their own reasons and never know that there’s this great program that offers education you thought you could never finish.
