Deployment of new Rucio clients with Python2.6 have been postponed for long time • Seeking for stability • We need however to move forward (with caution) • The new DQ2 clients and Py26 libraries have been installed in CVMFS • In EMI Rucio+py26 have been tested with RC test pilots at all sites (production + analysis) • A minor modification of the pilot Wrapper was needed in APF1 • Some sites moved to Rucio clients in production • Some environment needs to be set in APF1 • In OSG the situation is under investigation • Various attempts of using Rucioclients have shown site dependent problems • Some email thread has been started with APF2 devs and pilot devs.

  3. My proposal for discussion: • Given the positive experience with RC tests and the few sites in production, move all CVMFS EMI sites to use the new Rucio clients • No not change the CVMFS link, but proceed on site-by-site basis changing APF config. • One cloud at the time, start with UK • Sort out the non-CVMFS sites (DeSalvo please help) • Sort out the USATLAS issues (I’ll ping the thread, got little follow up)
