  1. Utilizing Your Business Facebook Page How to get the most out of your facebookpage as a book store

  2. Facebook Business Pages give you a lot of unique tools for merchandising In this presentation we will go over 5 tools to use to your advantage • Setting up the template of your Facebook page • Moving tabs around • Create a quick launch button on the top of your page • Setup a Facebook shop • Use tagging for the page Authors Around The South to utilize their 14,000 followers as well as other bookstore pages

  3. Get to your page the best way, use your quick launch

  4. Let’s get started by going to your settings on the right sideof your screen

  5. To select a template to best fit your store’s type, click Edit Page & Edit under templates

  6. There are several templates. The Shopping template is good if you have any online presence, but it may not be the right fit. A template is how your page is laid out. Customers like to find things they are looking for easily and efficiently. Each template has it’s own description, find one that best fits your store.

  7. Navigation Tabs on your side bar can be edited, moved and created. These will help customize your needs

  8. In the Edit Page you can move your tabs in the order you want them

  9. Now we can assign a quick launch button on your page!

  10. There are many things you can assign it to that works best for you. Shop Now, Sign up, Contact us, Call, the list goes on. It also tracks customer clicks so if one doesn’t work, you can try another one.

  11. We are going to setup a shop so I clicked on the purchase menu and will choose “Shop on your Page”

  12. Now the button is assigned and ready to sell!

  13. Setting up a shop is easy. • Click on ‘Shop’ on your side navigation on your page. • If you haven’t set your shop up before, you will get a wizard asking you how you want to setup a check out. You will see paypal and a few other options. If you have a shopping cart already I would suggest this. This way you can keep your sales insights in one place.

  14. Click ‘Add Product’ and fill out the fields. Pictures are square which is not ideal for book covers. They need to be1024 x 1024 or higher to look good.

  15. This is what your new shop looks like on your main page

  16. Now it is time to share and use tagging! To tag you use the @ symbol and the users name. Sometimes the page name and the name on the page are not the same. For instance Authors Round The South is @readermeetwriter. Sometimes a tag will find either names but not always

  17. Why do I need to tag? • Tagging is a great resource, especially a page like Authors Round The South who will share a mention or a tag for you to utilize their 14k followers. • Tagging allows more engagement among followers of both pages • The more you tag and engage with other pages, the more you will pop up on newsfeeds.

  18. This is what a cross post looks like. Make sure you let Authors Round The South work for you!
