  5. This module provides students with an opportunity to develop an idea for a project and put it into practice with application of the necessary leadership skills in a ‘real world’ situation. The module will provide students with an understanding of the issues around sustainability and why sustainability factors are an important consideration when looking to start up projects in a sport and recreation setting. Module Aims

  6. Understand how a range of leadership styles, skills and issues need to be used and considered when leading projects in the ‘real world’. This should highlight the necessary qualities that students need when entering employment. Analyse specific issues that emerge within their projects and be able to use the appropriate problem solving techniques to facilitate progress. Select and communicate effectively with external partners ensuring that sustainable frameworks are implemented to ensure the feasible continuation of the project once students have left. Demonstrate a theoretical and practical understanding of the stages of the planning process used within the project. Evaluate the appropriateness, feasibility and success of the project as well as their own individual contributionin their designated role within the team. Learning Outcomes
