FAX and WLCG • As you know, there is a working group on storage federations with a broad mandate of studying aspects of data federations that should be supported including suggested models of deployment and operation • https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/WLCGStorageFederationsWG • Asked for a second ATLAS presentation focusing on specific deployment issues from the point of view of sites • rwg will circulate a draft tomorrow • A task force within WLCG Operations on Xrootd deployment is now forming (first meeting this Friday) • https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/WLCGOpsCoordination

  2. FAX status • Presently from • http://uct3-xrdp.uchicago.edu:8080/rsv/ • There are difficulties with • US: BNL (direct and via fax) • DE: all sites (direct and via fax) • RU: direct is okay, but not via the redirector • UK: problems with ecdf and ox; qmul is fine
