Participants of the program serve as full-time educators in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for the duration of their studies at the university while living in a community of fellow teachers. • University of Houston- May 2012 GPA: 3.6 • Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies • State certified to teach Early childhood through sixth grade • Honors: Dean’s List, Golden Key Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars • San Jacinto College- August 2007- August 2010 • Completed 15 hours to further education

Teaching Experience • St. Mary Catholic School, League City, TX, 2012- Current • Taught Prekindergarten 3 and 4 year old students • Created curriculum for the early childhood program • Assisted in the adoption of a Texas comprehensive curriculum • Mentored new early childhood teachers • Assisted in enrollment and marketing efforts • Trained co-workers in website page creation and editing techniques • Lead and assisted in junior high retreats for enrolled students • Lead summer enrichment courses for enrolled students

  5. St. Mary Summer Art Created and supervised a week long enrichment course for students. 15 students participated.

Teaching Experience • Debusk Enrichment Center for Academically Talented Scholars (DECATS)- St. Rose of Lima, Houston, TX, Summer 2013- Current • This organization is a summer enrichment program for gifted and talented scholars within the Houston Archdioceses. Courses are designed to challenge their thinking and enrich their exceptional gifts. • Administered an enrichment course which was independently created • Co-mentored enrichment courses • Mentored scholars in using their moral compass to analyze the world through various perspectives

Teaching Experience • Internship, Clear Creek ISD, Ross Elementary, Jan 2012- April 2012 • Served as an intern and taught first grade lessons in order to gain further classroom experience. • Gained certification in the Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) Program and practiced such skills in the classroom • Long-term substituted as a student remedial specialist after internship (April 2012- June 2012). • Internship, Classroom Observations and short teaching experiences, per undergraduate education courses. • Pasadena ISD- Turner Elementary- PreK & 3rd • Front Bend ISD- Various schools- 3rd, 4th, 5th

Educational Experience • Taught in grade PreK-5 with the exception of 2nd. • Knowledgeable and Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, Apple Office Suite, Mac OS X, Windows XP/Vista/10, Promethium board technology, Memio technology • Acquired a Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) certification in order to practice the program. • Well- experienced in integrating technology into lessons and in the classroom through the internet, tablets, videos.

Service • Assisted and planned service retreats for students at St. Mary Catholic School. • Plan, lead, and staff Junior High and High School spiritual events and retreats with the youth ministry at St. Paul the Apostle. • Assisted and lead service project events through the University of Houston Catholic Center as the community Vice President.
