  7. Helpful Hints Innovation, Timeliness and Relevance: • Match your topic to the appropriate track. • Keep meeting theme in mind (“Collaborate to Innovate”). • Uniqueness – Have you submitted this topic to other meetings or previous DIA meetings? • Timeliness – Is this a “hot” or “popular” topic? • Relevance – Is the topic relevant, forward looking, strategic? Does it have a fresh perspective?

  8. Helpful Hints Quality of Content: • Is the proposal well written and structured, without typographical errors? • Does the title stand out or is it generic? A catchy title gets attention. • Avoid use of jargon. Be clear in what is to be presented.

  9. Helpful Hints Balanced Representation within Program Offering: • Are there different perspectives on the topic included (ie, pharma, biotech, industry, regulatory, academia, patients, CRO, local, global, etc.)? • Helpful to identify speakers and/or individual presentation topics to be covered. • Is the topic global? Will an international or global perspective be included?

  10. Helpful Hints No Promotion from Podium: • Program offering should be non-commercial. • Program offering should not overtly endorse or recommend a specific product or service. • Refer to DIA’s Policy Concerning Promotion of Products and Services from the Podium at DIA-sponsored Programs.
