In the end of the class, the students are able to : • mention the example of the expression of inviting someone, declining or accepting someone’s invitation. • read the expression of inviting someone, declining or accepting someone’s invitation in appropriate intonation. • use the expression of inviting someone, declining or accepting someone’s invitation in a dialogue. • give the response to the invitation given by someone else. • mention the example of invitation card. • mention the structure of invitation card. • mention the function of invitation card. • explain the information on the invitation card.

  3. What you should do? • Make a group consist of 4 person. • Count 1 to 4, the number will be your label. • Read the text you get. • Discuss with your friend how to express that in a good pronunciation, intonation, and stress

  5. Accepting Invitation Declining Invitation • Okay. Sounds good. • Sure. I'd love to. • Yeah. Good idea • Looks good. Thanks. • Don't mind if I do. • Great. What time? • Sounds like fun. • All right. When and where? 1. No, I'd rather not. 2. I'm sorry, but I can't.3. No, but thanks for inviting me. 4. Sorry. I'm busy this weekend.5. I don't think I can.6. How about some other time? 7. I'd better not.8. No, but thanks for offering. Make a dialogue using those expression !

You may choose one of those situation and apply the expression of inviting someone, declining invitation, and accepting invitation in your dialogue. • Siatuation 1 : Invite friend to join wedding party of your sister next week in Jakarta. • Situation 2 : Invite fiend to go with you in the music concert. • Situation 3 : Invite friend to come to your scholarship celebration.
