  4. Congressional Meetings You will be meeting with your: 1 Representative 2 Senators Legislation: Electrify Africa Act – PASSED! Food For Peace Reform Act Global Food Security Act The Reach Every Mother & Child Act M-Core Act Foreign Aid Transparency & Accountability Act Kai with Senator Casey – Philadelphia, PA

  5. Congressional Meetings Go to your Senator’s or Representative’s website and fill out a request for meeting (which tends to be under the “Contact” section of their page). Keep following up and be politely persistent. Look out for events they may be attending (Bird-dogging opportunities) Keep the pressure coming into their offices weekly!

  7. Fundraising Any chance you feel like this when you hear the word… Fundraising?

  8. Fundraising cont’d… Don’t worry we are here to help! Review the Financials (Helpful for answering questions that friends and family may have) Successful fundraising starts with the ASK Use your resources (local restaurants, community or college groups) Utilize your 25 hours we have given you to put towards fundraising (roughly 1.5 hrs./week)

  9. Fundraising cont’d… All 15+ letters must be mailed to our HQ office here in Seattle first. Send contact list and Advocate Flyers to donors@borgenproject.org Use the fundraising ideas page! Be sure to set realistic goals with each idea

Reminders: Trackers must be turned in no later than Friday at 5:00 p.m. (PST) Keep your trackers detailed but concise (i.e. include screen shots, pictures, etc.) No more than 2 late or missing trackers Emailing Congressional Leaders through our Website Do not hesitate to email me with questions or request to set up a time to speak over the phone!
