  2. Conscience The Bible’s use of the word for heart is the closest equivalent to the concept of conscience. According to Scripture, we can possess a clean heart or speak from an insincere heart. Our entire being

  3. Conscience Conscience must be an activity of our whole person—a knowing of the heart as well as of the mind.

  4. Conscience • “…For we have in our hearts a law inscribed by God. Our dignity lies in observing this law, and by it we will be judged. Our conscience is our most secret core, and our sanctuary. There we are alone with God whose voice echoes in our depths. By conscience, in a wonderful way, that law is made known which is fulfilled in the love of God and of one’s neighbor.”
