  2. YIC Start Page – This is the first page the user sees. On this page will appear important notices of interest to the users of the system. Each individual user will also see the names of those students for whom they are responsible who are lacking an SSN or State Juvenile Justice Number Change Password – Each user must periodically change their password. They will start receiving nag screens 7 days prior to the expiration date. They may elect to change their password at any time or will be forced to the appropriate screen when it expires. Print Page – Self explanatory. Exit – Self explanatory. Active User List – Each user may see at any time all the users currently logged into the system File Menu

  4. Student Maintenance (1) • Enroll – Used to enroll a student into the system. A student may be enrolled in only one school district and one school at a time. • Release – Used to release a student when they are released to return to main stream, transferred to another location, etc. • Add - Add a student who has not been previously enrolled in the system. • Search – Used to determine if the student has been previously enrolled in the system before adding. • Merge – Used to merge the records of a student who have been added to the system more than once. • Delete – Used to delete the records of a student who was entered into the system be error.

  6. Student Maintenance(2) • Enrollment Maintenance – Used to maintain the enrollment records of a student. A user can only modify or delete the enrollment records of a student in their district. • Enrollment Attendance – Used to enter daily attendance for a student. • Course Hours Maintenance (M) – Used to enter hours of attendance in a subject when a credit has not been earned but some classroom time in that subject has been clocked. • Course Hours Maintenance (MM) – Another version of C above. • Enter Credits (M) – Enter credits for a student. • Enter Credits (MM) – Another version of E above.

Student Maintenance(3) • Assign Student Credits – Not Used • Transfer Credits and Hours – Used to flag student hours and credits as having been used by a district in their transcript for this student. • Demographics – Used to maintain student demographic data such as birth date, address, etc. • Course History – Used to monitor all the courses in which a student has participated while in a Youth In Custody school. • Testing Maintenance (WRAT) – Used to maintain the test history of a student. WRAT is current standard for measuring progress a student. • Health Maintenance – Used to maintain health demographics such as shot record, vision tests, hearing tests, etc. for a student. • Testing Maintenance (Non WRAT) – Used by some districts to track student progress using tests other than WRAT.

  10. Misc. Maintenance • District Calendar – Used to maintain the basic calendar for each school year. Can be used by each school a template for their calendar. • School Calendar – Calendar used to control membership and attendance for each student enrolled in that school. • Verifies School Calendar – Provides a summary of the number of scheduled school days in each month for a school for a school year. • School – Used to maintain the basic demographics such as address, phone, fax, etc. for each school. • User - Used to maintain the basic demographics such as phone, assignment, etc. for each user. • Teach – Used to maintain subject currency for each teacher in the district. • Advance Student Grade – Can be used to advance the current grade level of each student enrolled in a school.
