  3. Subordinate Conjunctions • Dependent markers: after, although, as, as soon as, because, before, if, since, so that, unless, until, when, whenever, where, • This week you will begin a sentence with a subordinating conjunction.

  4. Independent vs. Subordinate Clauses A. Since Ethan likes Hawaiian pizza. B. Ethan likes to eat Hawaiian pizza. (Independent clause/sentence clause)

  8. Whenever/antipathy • Whenever I feel antipathy towards someone,I snarl and “mad dog” them.

  9. Apathetic (adj.) having no interest or concern; indifferent

  10. Relative Pronouns • Janie, the baby, who looks quite apathetic with life, is planning to runaway. • Baxter, that kid in green, feels apathetic until he is given a sword.
