  8. Data Analysis (Year-wise Contributions) Table-1: Year Wise Contribution of Documents Table-1 reveals the year wise contributions of documents from 2012-2016 of three Institutions. The number of highest documents contribution of NITR in the Year 2016 is 874 followed by IIT BBSR with 262 numbers of documents and VSSUT with 83 documents. Overall, if we will analyse the total numbers of contributions from 2012 to 2016, NIT Rourkela has highest numbers of contributions 3094 (72%) followed by IIT Bhubaneswar 889 (21%) and VSSUT with only 325 (7%) of contributions. Data Analysis (Subject Area) Table-2: Top Ten Most Preferred Subject Area of Three Institutions • Table-2 reveals the subject wise contributions of documents of three institutions. • The most preferred subject area of NITR is found to be engineering with 1418 number of documents. • The most preferred subject area of IIT, BBSR is also engineering with contributions of 340 and the most preferred subject area of VSSUT, Burla is Computer Science with 150 numbers of documents. • The first ten preferable subject area of NITR as per the contributions in Scopus is Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Physics & Astronomy, Mathematics, Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Energy, Biochemistry and Environmental Science. • The first ten preferred subject area of IIT, Bhubaneswar is Engineering, Physics & Astronomy, Computer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Earth & Planetary Sciences, Mathematics, Energy, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Science. • The first ten preferred subject area of VSSUT, Burla is Computer Science, Engineering, Materials Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Decision Sciences, Physics & Astronomy, Energy, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Science. 21st national convention on knowledge, library and information networking (4-6 Oct 2018), gitam university, vskp

Data Analysis (Types of Publ.) • Table-3 reveals the number of documents contribution in different types of documents such as article, conference paper, review, book chapter, editorial, erratum, letter, book, article in press, note, and short survey etc. • It is found that, article is the most preferred document type in all the three institutions under study. Data Analysis (Top 10 Preferred Journals) • Table-4 reveals that, NIT Rourkela has published maximum (50) number of documents in “IoP conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering”. • IIT Bhubaneswar has published maximum (20) number of documents in “RSC Advances”, whereas VSSUT Burla has published maximum (27) number of documents in “Smart Innovation Systems and Technologies” journals. Data Analysis (Most Productive Institutions) • Table-5 reveals the most productive institutions in terms of publications. • It is found that NITR has published more number 3094 (72%) of publications followed by IIT Bhubaneswar with 889 (21%) and VSSUTBurla with 325 (7%) number of documents. Data Analysis (Top 10 Productive Authors) • Table-6 reveals the top ten productive Authors of three institutions as reflected in Scopus. • As per Scopus indexing results - The top ten productive Authors of NIT Rourkela are Mahapatra, S.S. (114); Pal, K. (85); Mahapatra, K.K. (82); Chakraverty, S. (72); Sahu, P.K.(70); Majhi, B. (69); Subudhi, B.(68); Panda, A.K.(58); and Pramanik, K. 58);. The top ten productive Authors of IIT Bhubaneswar are Panda, G.(80) ;Samantaray, S.(60) ;Ishikawa, A.(43) ; Schwanda, C. (43);Aihara, H.(42) ;Bozek, A. (42) ;Sandilya, S.(42) ;Mohanty, G.B.(40) ;Rout, C.S.(40) and Cervenkov, D.(38). The top ten productive Authors of VSSUT Burla are Swain, S.K. (44);Behera, H.S. (43);Panda, S. (40);Nayak, J.(26) ;Naik, B. (22);Sahu, R.K. (22);Dash, S. (13);Kisku, S.K. (12);Prusty, G. (11); and Guru, P.S.(10).
