  1. As a parent, you always want to provide the best for your kids. However, there are times when money is tight and you just have to scrimp on everything from food to other home necessities. But when their birthdays come, however, you know you just need money fast to plan some sort of a birthday party. But if easy quick money is hard to come by, you have to contend with simple ways to hold the party. Fret not, however. A simple party does not have to be as boring or pitiful as it does not need money fast. Here are some frugal birthday ideas to keep in mind:

  2. Make the cake the center of attraction. Head straight to the birthday cake to cut cost on party food. Invite only your kid’s closest friends, like 3 or 5 of them. Have them all decorate the cake together. After which, you can all proceed to cake slicing and have some dessert. Tell the parents in advance so they can eat before heading to your party. Slumber party. Kids love to stay up late. Give them this rare chance to stay up till late in the evening watching movies, munching on their favorite junk foods, and helping the celebrant open his or her presents. Allow them to make tents or even camp in the yard if it’s safe.

  3. Family field trip. It would cost way cheaper to pay for the museum pass than prepare for a birthday party. So armed with homemade sandwiches, salads, fried chicken, and other lunch time favorites, head out for a family field on your kid’s birthday. The zoo is another good choice, the lake, the park, or the beach. Exclusive birthday party. You can have a birthday party even with just you as a whole family. Buy or bake a birthday cake, prepare a delicious meal for everyone, open gifts, and play games. You can also head out to the cinema after if you have time.

  4. Pool party. Distract the kids by so much by having a pool party. If you don’t have a swimming pool, set up an inflatable plastic pool. You can just borrow this from friends. Prepare a simple snack for the kids like sandwiches or burgers. Never forget the cake though as it is very important for every kid celebrating a birthday. You don’t even need money fast for these simple ways to hold a birthday party. While you can use easy quick money and prepare a lavish party, it is more practical and meaningful to hold a simple one. So save money without sacrificing fun and great memories for your kids’ birthdays.
