  3. Why are we obsessed with FEAR? What is horror? What makes people afraid?

  4. Write Write down this question in your notebook: What is horror? • Take two minutes to write down what YOU think horror is. You could write about any of the following: • What does horror look like? • What does horror sound like? • What does horror feel like? • What makes things horrifying?

  5. Watch • As you watch the movie clips, think about the things that might create fear, suspense, or horror for people. • What do many of the clips have in common? • What makes them scary?

  6. Write Skip a line in your notebook, and write down this question: What do you fear the most? • Take two minutes to explain what you fear. This could include • Things you are afraid of • A situation that made you afraid

  7. Write Skip a line in your notebook, and take a stab at our other unit questions: • How and why does suspense thrill us? • Why are we obsessed with fear?

  8. Ask Now come up with your own inquiry question for our unit… What do YOU personally want to know about fear and horror? (Who, When, Where, What, Why, How) Write your question on a Post-It
