  6. Jesus Christ said: Ye shall know the truth, and the truth, shall make you free. (John 8: 31)

  7. What is truth?

  8. “Truth is a knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come”. (D&C 93:24)

  9. How can truthmake you free?

  10. What is truth as opposed to belief ?

  11. If you and many others believe it does that make it true?

  12. If you and many others do not believe it does that make it false?

  13. If it becomes a tradition and millions of people believe it for hundreds of years, does that make it true?

  14. Are your religious beliefs based on where you were born?

  15. Does a person’s place of birth make their religious beliefs true?

  16. If you were born in England you’re likely to be Anglican. (British Parliament – London, England)

  17. If you were born in Italy, you are probably Catholic. (St. Peter’s Basilica - Rome, Italy)

  18. If you were born in Northern Germany you are most likely to be Lutheran.(Rothenberg, Germany)

  19. If you were born in Saudi Arabia, you are probably Muslim. (Masjid al-Haram – Mecca, Saudi Arabia)

  20. If you were born in India, you are more likely to be Hindu. (Taj Mahal – Agra, India)

  34. and some of these scrolls were eventually gathered together and printed in one book…

  36. The Holy Bible is the sacred word of God.

  37. Do you believe the Bible is an accurate history of actual events that really took place?

  38. The Bible tells us that in the beginningGod convened a great heavenly council to unveil the glorious plan of salvation for all mankind.

  39. The Lord asked Job: Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? …When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38: 4&7)

  40. But then Satan came forth. He did not like God’s plan and began convincing others to follow him in his rebellion against God. The Holy Bible says…

  41. 7 …there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven…

  42. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelations 12:7-9)

  43. What caused this war in heaven?

  44. 1 AND I, the Lord God, spake unto Moses, saying: That Satan… is the same which was from the beginning, and he came before me, saying...

  45. Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor.

  46. 2 But, behold, my Beloved Son, which was my Beloved and Chosen from the beginning, said unto me--Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever.

  47. 3 Wherefore, because that Satan rebelled against me, and SOUGHT TO DESTROY THE AGENCY OF MAN, which I, the Lord God, had given him, and also, that I should give unto him mine own power; by the power of mine Only Begotten, I caused that he should be cast down;

  48. 4 And he became Satan, yea, even the devil, the father of all lies, to deceive and to blind men, and to lead them captive at his will, even as many as would not hearken unto my voice. (Moses 4:1-4)

  49. The war in heaven was fought over the agency of man.

  50. God had given mankind the freedom to choose but Satan wanted to take away man’s agency and use God’s power to force all mankind to obey the law of God.
