  3. What is AWIS? • “AWIS is a national advocacy organization championing the interests of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across all disciplines and employment sectors. By breaking down barriers and creating opportunities, AWIS strives to ensure that women in these fields can achieve their full potential.” ~~National AWIS

  11. AIRBAND Tuesday, October 14 Eisenhower Auditorium at 7PM • 2-4 Minute Lip Sync Competition • The song choice must relate to the organizations theme choice • Organizations can use dance moves, costumes and props for the performance!

  12. NITTANY PURSUIT Wednesday, October 15 East Quad at 5pm • Teams of 6 compete in a scavenger hunt all around campus • There are 6 different locations to complete fun tasks • Earn BONUS POINTS for dressing up in your organization’s theme—LION KING!

  13. PARADE Friday, October 17th At 6pm • Our float = AWESOME!! • We need everyone to help pomp the week of Homecoming (Sunday at 4pm – Friday at 8am or when it’s finished, which ever is first!)

  14. BANNER Judging: Monday, October 13 At 5pm Findlay Commons • Also will be in the parade • Designate a time to get together and have “Arts & Crafts Day”

Symposium for Women in the Sciences • Annual (6th year) • Organized and sponsored by AWIS • Signup to be a part of the committee • Keynote Speaker and 3 breakout sessions • Max number of pts in 1 event • Register by Oct. 17 • Registration forms available on website (under SWIS) • $5 for PSU Students - lunch included • 11AM-4PM at the Nittany Lion Inn
