  2. THE GIRAFFE • THEY Have lots of patches. • They are related to camels. • They have very long necks , because they need to be able to reach the trees to get food.

  3. Life cycle • During the months of may to august a female gives birth. • After they grow older they can go up to a month without any water. • After they grow older they also can run up to 35 miles per hour.

  4. Fun facts • Unlike most mammals, the horns of a giraffe arecovered in hair. • A Giraffe’s hair is ten times taller than human’s hair is. • a male giraffe can weight as much as a pick up truck.

  5. How big it is • The giraffe is the tallest animal, and it is 16 to 18 feet tall. • It has a very long neck . • The male is taller than the female. • Their tongues are 18 inches.

  6. Where does it live • They live in the Sahara of Africa. • They can walk through swamps and ponds. • They live in savannah grass.
