  1. AABB Accredited DNA Testing What is AABB accredited relationship DNA testing? AABB Accredited DNA testing laboratories have attained certificates and follow certain standards while performing the tests. This DNA testing is based on AABB standards. In an immigration application, the applicants submit their documents that claim relationship. When certain document fails to prove relations, the immigration authorities may request the petitioner and beneficiary to take up a Confidential DNA test to determine biological relation. These tests are scientifically proven. The documents that need to be submitted are school certificates, birth certificate and others that support relationship. Certain embassies stick to strict rules and want the laboratory to be AABB (formerly American Association of Blood Banks) accredited. DNA Diagnostics and Genetic Center India is one of the few laboratories to be AABB accredited. Therefore the tests are conducted following proper procedure. The results are reliable and this lab assures quality. An AABB accredited DNA testing may be done for paternity, maternity, sibling-ship or kinship. Majority of the people take up A AABB accredited DNA testing after their primary documents fail to satisfy the immigration authorities. The request in these cases are usually in the form of RFE (request for further petition) or NOID (notice of indent to deny). The client has full authority to decide if he wants a DNA test or not. Although here is in his best interest to get AABB accredited DNA test done. The immigration authorities accept it as a valid proof. Some people who have applied for immigration prefer getting AABB accredited DNA test done in advance so that they may not face any hindrance. Some Immigration attorneys also suggest their clients to go for a AABB accredited DNA test even before they file their papers. The first step towards immigration is DNA testing when it comes to prove relations.
