  14. The hare boasted that he had never been beat. He challenged anyone to do so, and the tortoise accepted his challenge.

  15. "That is a good joke," said the hare. "I could dance around you all the way."

  16. "Keep your boasting until you've beaten," answered the tortoise. "Shall we race?“

  17. The hare ran off from the start line, but decided there was no way the tortoise could win, so he took a nap.

  18. When he woke up, the tortoise had reached the finish line! There was no way for the hare to catch up.

  19. The moral of the story is that slow and steady can win the race. Being fast does not mean everything.
