  1. Where to Find Free Stock Images For Your Blog That Don’t Suck One „rule‟ of blogging and content marketing in any niche is that the addition of images to written content is almost a must. Which is great, except for an independent blogger or small company blog finding those images can be time consuming and expensive. Of course, you could just use Google image search to find an image, right click it, download it and stick it right into your latest blog post or make use of it in other ways. But that route can be fraught with danger – seriously – if the rights attached to said image do not permit unpaid publication. In recent years bloggers, content creators and companies large and small have been hit with huge fines for using images without permission. Stock imagery is a safe and sensible alternative to taking risks with copyright infringement, but it can be both expensive and boring. Free stock is the best option then, but exactly where do you find free stock imagery that is actually worth using? There are actually far more options available to you than you might think. Here‟s a little look some of our current favorites:

  2. Pexels Of all the resources on this list, this is the one that most bloggers and content creators have probably already heard of. The only problem here is that because so many content creators already use it, there can be a lot of image repetition across blogs and websites in the same niches. For example, if you haven‟t seen this image before, or a slight variation of it, we‟d be very surprised, as it‟s one of the most over-used on the Web. That having been said, if you are in need of an image that won‟t get you into legal trouble and you need it quickly, Pexels is a great site to keep bookmarked. Why it’s good: 1,000s of free images are available for use that cover hundreds of uses Burst Burst is actually owned by e-commerce giants Shopify, but open to use by anyone. While most of the images are, as you might imagine, geared towards retail content there is a little something for anyone and some gems you won‟t find anywhere else. If you write your pieces in Google Docs you‟ll know how easy it is to edit and even change these images within the document itself. We love this as you don‟t have to stop your flow of creativity to add an image quickly. What we didn‟t love so much is the fact that it is hard to transfer an image laden Google Doc into WordPress. Or it was. We created Docsify to solve that problem and allow you to make easy use of as many stunning images as you like.
