  2. We All Need Comfort • We all need comfort in times of loss or affliction • Many in the world lack comfort (Eccl. 4:1) • God’s children have comfort (Isa. 40:1; 49:13; 51:3; 52:9; 61:2; 66:13; Mt. 5:4)

  3. Where Not To Go For Comfort • Murder (Gen. 27:42) • Sexual immorality (Prov. 7:18) • Alcohol, drugs (Prov. 23:30) • Revenge (Rom. 12:17-21) • Outbursts of anger (Gal. 5:20)

  4. Where To Go For Comfort • You can go to a godly spouse (Gen. 24:67) • You can go to loving family and friends (1 Chron. 7:22; Job 2:11; 16:2; 21:34; 42:11) • You can go to faithful Christians (Acts 16:40)

  6. Where To Go For Comfort • You can go to God in prayer (Psa. 23:4; 86:17; Rom. 15:5; 2 Cor. 1:3-4; 2 Thess. 2:16) • You can go to God’s word (Psa. 119:50, 52, 76, 82; Rom. 15:14) • Will you spend eternity in comfort, or in torment (Lk. 16:25)?
