Country assessment operations - Achievements • Concept note/Framework + wide international discussions • Standard questionnaire design based on previous similar work and experience (AFCAS, DQAF, etc.) • Adaptation of the questionnaire to Africa specificities and translation into French • Field testing, finalization and validation of the questionnaire • Development of a web-based system – Quid a priori rules (Fine-tuning the web-based application based on comments received from Kigali meeting) • Training and launching workshop: Kigali & Addis workshops

Way forward and Timeline • Establishing governance structures in countries, viz: National Agricultural Statistics Committee, National Technical Working Group and designating a National Strategy Coordinator (See AP doc EN/FR at p. 35-36/38-39): ASAP (14 Sept 2012) • Providing countries with access the Web App: ASAP • Brief members of national governing structures on the GS and Africa AP (quid CA process): ASAP (14 Sept 2012) • Tabulation/Analysis plans/guidelines (Development/building indicators of data quality and statistical development): By end Sep 2012 • Establishment of a web-based Forum of Agricultural Statisticians in Africa (FASIA): By mid-Aug 2012
