  3. Project Synopsis Our group works with a student care centre. After a few visits and meetings with the centre supervisor, we finally embarked on a our service to the centre, which is to help them maintain their centre garden which is grows many local plants such as curry leaves and lime leaves.

  4. Iyad Perdaus Student Development Centre • Iyad is a student development centre that provides before and after school care services to primary school students. • It also operates as a child care centre at the other wing of the centre. • It provides interesting and stimulating programmes for the students and children. • One of them is the garden to educate the students on plants that are grown there.

  6. Iyad Perdaus Student Development Centre We visited them 3 days later … We discussed on the possible ways of serving the centre PLAN 1 : Mural Painting

  7. Due to time constraint PLAN 2 : Beautify the centre’s garden Research on the plant names Created labels of scientific names of plants in the garden

  8. Placed the labels beside the plants Attended the launch of the centre’s garden.

  14. MeiTing : The greatest challenge for me is to be a group leader because as a leader, I have to ensure that we work as a team and that work is distributed equally and fairly among all of us! Students’ Reflections Chanita : We have finally completed our project and I’m glad that the centre has benefitted from our service !!

  15. Yoon Yi : I learnt that teamwork is very important in a gp project. Without co-operation, there will be arguments among us ! Students’ Reflections Jae : I learnt how to maintain a garden. To my team mates: Let me give you a pat on your shoulders! Yani: I felt that it has been a great prvilege to be able to help the Community.

  16. MeiTing :We gained trust from each other and learnt to take care of the plants and make plants happy by watering them. The centre gained trust from us too !! Chanita : We learn what it means to be responsible. For the centre, they gained trust from us too ! “ What did we and the centre gain from each other”??

  17. “ What did we and the centre gain from each other”?? Jae : We gained their trust and they gained some experiences on working with students ! Yani :We need to have teamwork on this project. What the centre gained : We have helped them to do planting! Yoon Yi : We learnt how a student care centre runs and they gained trust from us !
