C to B as T to A The caterpillar eats and grows As teens make and learn their mistakes The caterpillar makes itself a chrysalis As teens drift away from home Caterpillar thrust its way to a new life as a butterfly As teens become adults and have new beginnings by Christina Namechand and Tabitha Steward

  3. My Little Dear Angry at life, full of fear Small little butterfly, come to me I’m thinking of you, my little dear My heart adores your size of heart Come to my hand, you will feel all-right Never will I let you go, keep your wings at sight. By Aia Islamova and Varsha Rawana

  5. HI ! Boom, Kabaam, I saw it break free, It looked more beautiful that I thought it would be. Boo-hoo-hoo as I cried through, I cried louder and louder until I turned blue. So butterfly is what they call you – They call me the incredible Mr. Vue. As life goes by, Everyone tends to stop saying hi! I wonder if it’s the same with butterflies? by Jeremy Vue and Steven Pham

  7. Metamorphosis I start young, a 12-legged creature, and of course, they notice my features. I don’t like the way that I look, so I’m going to flip like a book.   12. New Found Beauty Start so simple, start carefree. Full of wonder, full of glee. Crawling around this confusing world. Some are boys, some are girls. Growing stronger, learning more.

  15. A World Where - My cocoon was home for many years. A home where my parents nurtured and fed me. A home where I had no financial responsibilities. Now crack, crack, crack. The time has come. I am emerging from the cocoon from which I was raised and grown. Off on my own to another place. I sit and dry my wings off. I tear and say good-bye to my parents.

  16. Now I say hello to a brand new world. A world where I find my own place to live. A world where I buy my own food. A world where I pay my own bills. A world where I fly away from my parents and into my own life. I am a butterfly broken free from its cocoon. I’m stepping out in a world unknown. I’m experiencing life itself. by Melissa Cook

  18. Fly, Fly, Fly The form of life comes from the teenage soul. Love and energy can become a strong impact on life Don’t turn around when you think its rough – keep going Growing is stepping into a bigger world Life is like a butterfly coming out of its cocoon to explore the world.

  19. Energy is from the sun, which brings us into life. A young heart grows into a wonderful soul. 100 years later, you can be a new Butterfly out of its cocoon To become free of energy and power is to be a butterfly and fly away. Be free and fly, fly, fly ….. away. by Felicia

  20. Mystery Life is a mystery that nobody knows how to solve it. But like butterflies and teenagers we both want to experience it. We both go through different changes in life. Such as growing up finding love and to start a new better life. The difference in the inside is not much, just if you look at the physical from a teenager to a beautiful butterfly things would change. Caterpillar to Butterfly –as- Teen to Adult Caterpillars are turning into butterflies As teens are turning into adults Too big to fit in a cocoon Too large for a single teen room Trying to break free to ride with the wind As teens are struggling to find their special within The burst of motion breaks them free As teens use momentum for lifelong dreams. by Kayla Canfield
