  4. April got abducted and determining who did it? Was it her mom or dad, Jack Leeper (escaped convict) or did she run away? The police have few leads and pull body out of river. April’s mom is not talking and dad is not being questioned. Theo grapples with telling his parents about April’s secrets he’s sworn to keep. The police are not checking all possible leads on case. Theo could break his parents trust when involving Uncle Ike in anything he does. Plot Conflict

  5. Resolution • April is found in frat house in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. • Ike and Theo go there to in order to bring her back home. • Theo’s mom becomes temporary quardian of April until her parents straighten up there problems.

  7. Student Recommendation • This book was very intriguing, hilarious in parts, exciting and fast-paced. • It would be a great book for middle and junior high schoolers. • It is both humorous and serious while very understandable about real life matters can happen day to day.

  9. Summary • Theo Boone loves the courtroom and will become a lawyer one day. With attorneys as parents, he is honorable and heroic in this novel. He is great friends with April Finnemore who does not have a good homelife. She turns up missing and the search is on with the police, schoolmates and the town all looking for her. After a body is removed from the river, Theo escalates his detective work to find April. In an intricate plan to locate and go get her, Theo and his Uncle Ike find her and bring her back home. The secrets revealed become the reason her parents go to court to keep her.
